Little Big Horn/ Alamo

Little Big Horn/ Alamo

The Battle of Little Bighorn, known popularly as "Custerīs Last Stand," took place on June 25, 1876. The conflict flared when a cavalry detachment led by George Armstrong Custer launched an attack against a band of Sioux and Cheyenne. In the ensuing battle, the 210 men under his command, as well as Custer himself, were massacred. Losses in the battle of the Alamo in 1836 have been placed at about 183 Texans killed and as many as 1600 Mexicans killed or wounded. People worldwide remember the Alamo as a heroic struggle against overwhelming odds - a place where men like William B. Travis,Jim Bowie and Davy Crockett made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. For this reason the Alamo remains hallowed ground and a shrine to liberty.Up to 5 items per customer
